Masie has known trauma and hurt from a young age. At a certain point of adulthood, she is determined to make life happen for her kids but has no sense of finding herself-until she starts a job hearing journeys. Slowly her heart is sown with seeds of emotion that begin to grow. She is very close to her grandpa, who tries to help her see that God still loves her despite everything she has been through. Her job involves meeting wonderful characters along the way-people who soon will pass but not before their life stories are heard. The point of the story is for Masie to discover that she is not tossed aside or forgotten. That God still-and has always-loved her. And she finds him through her children.
